Two Legs In One

I just came over Nina Ricci's spring summer collection now on style.com. It's always extra exciting with Paris Fashion Week but this just looks sad. So I checked the runway photos and the first thing that flew up in my head was how the models legs looked like. According to me, all the models are very very thin but some girls are way too thin. Look at Natasha to the left. I mean she's thin but her legs looks "allright" if you compare to the other girl's legs. There is nothing wrong with being thin or skinny but this is just awful and not normal. The fashion business is way too cruel sometimes. Where is the woman!!
What do you think?

Yikes! Poor models... the fashion industry is really eating them up (no pun intended!). So much pressure...

I have stick legs but am healthy so I think you it is possible for models too have slim legs and be fine. However the second model looks like she is too thin.

Love the dresses, and I'm rather slim too, but dearie me the second model is rather thin. I think there is a point where you need a model with 'bigger' legs to pull off a look.

That's funny because I thought the exact same thing when I saw this photo this morning. I guess it's the dark stockings that highlight how truly skinny they are. I'm all for being skinny but this just looks very unhealthy...

I agree. I think the beauty of a woman is in her curves. The ceond model is def. way to thin ! It;s good you bring it up !

I have a weird distorted idea when it comes to thin in a way that Natasha always looks thin but not too thin in my mind. But oh my god, the girl on the right is scary even to me :(

I agree with the fact that they should promote a bit more feminin figures.
But some people are just really thin:
when I was 16-17, I was really thin although I ate a lot. People always asked me if I was anorexic, and it kinda hurted me. As I grew older my body started to be more feminin.

That first dress is amazing! I think that clothes in general look better on thin people... But all clothes look terrible on skeletons. It's unhealthy and aesthetically displeasing..

I loved Nina Ricci but its certainly true about the models in Paris this season (and I suppose every season). I didn't even notice her legs until you pointed out with the side by side comparison. Her knees look painful!
:(

The firs thought that came to my mind was FUCK!
i saw the pics before i read the post & omg i had to do a double take as i thought i mis-saw it.
wow.
those legs have nothing on them.
there is no way she could fit into any jeans.
her jeans would be like 18" or something ridiculous.
natasha would be 23-24" like me but the other girl is nowhere near that.

Her legs remind me of twigs on the tree when it's frosty. Too thin! Where have the healthier looking SUPERmodels such as Coco Rocha and Jessica Stam been for the Spring/summer 09 shows? Notice how Sasha Pivovarova hasn't really been about either since gaining a few pounds (pregnancy rumours rife however I feel it was more a 'gain it or get ill' situation)
